What are the positives of religion ?

i am trying my hardest to find the positives, lets look and see the history of religion war war and more war oh yeah did i mention a Holocaust, now lets take a look at the future of religion suicide bombers, suicides bombers and random shootings in the name of Allah, seriously why is religion like a bad smell and wont leave us all alone, religion is like race another way to divide the people of the world.... please can you name the postitives ?
